Diamond Gem Award 2019
Nominations due Friday, May 3, 2019
Dear Diamond Community,
The Diamond Gem Award will be presented to a teacher and a staff member in the Diamond School District who goes above and beyond to support our schools. Sponsored by the Diamond School Board and the District Superintendent, a plaque will be awarded to one faculty and one staff member at a recognition luncheon for district employees, to be held in late May. The winners are selected from nominations made by students and community members. A paper version of the nomination form is included with this letter. Additionally, an e-version of the letter and nomination form is available online by clicking the link in the News section of the district home page (www.diamondwildcats.org). Forms can also be picked up from each of the school’s offices. Completed forms may be turned in the school offices or emailed to members of the selection committee. Nominations must be turned in by Friday, May 3rd.
Winners will be chosen based on a scoring guide. Specific categories considered include: community interaction, student interaction, co-worker support, and positive personal traits. The selection committee is comprised of teachers, an administrator, a school board member and previous year’s winner.
This year’s selection committee members are: School Board member Barbara Badley (email@example.com), Administrator Steve Hubbard (firstname.lastname@example.org), Diamond NEA Representative Richard Curran (email@example.com), Diamond MSTA Representative Elizabeth Reynolds (firstname.lastname@example.org), and previous year award recipient Camy Devins (email@example.com).
Thank you for your help in recognizing our staff.
