Change in education is a given, and this year at Diamond Middle School is no exception. Diamond Middle School houses grades five through eight and, with the substantial growth we have experienced this year, our student population is up to an amazing 330 students!

Middle School is a transition period and one of many adjustments for students. Having students for four years at this level should help prepare them academically and socially for the challenging expectations of high school.

Fifth and sixth grade students have their own wing and move as a group between classes. They have the added support of a daily study skills class. This class provides time for students to work on daily assignments, seek tutoring, and improve their education. Sixth graders are given the additional opportunity to begin exploratory classes in the areas of computer keyboarding and instrumental music.

Seventh and eighth grade students move into a more departmentalized structure, changing classes each hour. They are offered exploratory classes in the areas of computer keyboarding, art, and agriculture. Our students participate in extracurricular activities such as volleyball, cross country, football, basketball, band, choir, and academic team.
