Diamond Elementary participates in a school-wide Title I program funded under a section of federal education law providing funding and support to schools for programs and services to help students succeed. Title I funds are used to improve academic performance and increase parental involvement in our students' education.
Title I teachers and paraprofessionals will be supplementing students' educational experiences by team-teaching with classroom teachers, assisting with whole group, small group, or one-on-one individualized instruction both in the regular classroom or Title I instructional classrooms. Teachers will provide differentiated instruction and supplemental instruction for those students identified as benefiting from those strategies.
The Title I team works very closely with all members of the Diamond Elementary team which includes administrators, counselor, regular education teachers, paraprofessionals, and most of all the parents. Title I values and encourages parental involvement in the educational process and will provide opportunities throughout the school year for families to participate and provide input for the program.
We are excited to begin the 2013-2014 school year here at Diamond Elementary where our Title I team is an integral part of your student's success. Your title Team members are:
