Diamond Places at Lamar Speech Tournament

On Saturday, February 20th, Lamar High School held it's annual Speech Tournament for area schools. Leaving at 7:15 in the morning, Diamond attended the tournament with excitement.

As it was a smaller tournament we knew we had a better chance at placing. And we were right!

It was a great day for us because everyone placed in the top four. Laken Rawlins at her very first tournament took 3rd in Radio. Cody Martin placed 4th in Extemp. Gabby Palmer won 4th in Prose, and Kerri Goucher took 4th in Humorous Interpretation.

The team is definitely looking forward to the Exeter Tournament next weekend!
