The first FBLA meeting of the year was held on August 28th in Mr. Rabel's room at 7:40 a.m. This year's 2008-2009 FBLA members were excited to present their new ideas for this years Future Business Leaders.
The sponsor for FBLA is Mr. Rabel. After the FBLA meeting was adjourned Mr. Rabel added, "I think we have a very motivated group who will represent Diamond well."
One of the events that the FBLA members will be attending is the Leadership Conference for this year's officers. It will be held at Joplin High School in October.
This year's District Competition will be held in March at Carthage, MO. The members will be finishing the year with a Business Competition at MSSU in April.
FBLA says they have plans to raise money throughout the year and also plan to participate in some community service projects.
**If you are interested in FBLA, you may still join. Dues are $8.00 and must be paid to Mr. Rabel before the end of September. Meetings this year will be the second and fourth Thursday of every month at 7:40 a.m. in Mr. Rabel's room.
