Welcome to the elementary section of the Diamond web site. Diamond is a great place to be as we continue to grow in student population. Currently, enrollment is around 380 students in grades kindergarten through 4th. Class sizes in grades Kindergarten through 3rd average about 20 students per class. 4th grade class size is in the low 20's.
Diamond Elementary is lucky to have such a talented staff. In the elementary section, you will fine each teacher's classroom news letter. We strive to provide a strong academic foundation for the students using a variety of teaching resources to provide students an excellent foundation. Elementary students participate in music, art, physical education and computer lab for fifty minutes daily each week. Special services include speech, early childhood, resource room and Title 1 services in reading and math.
Diamond's Parent as Teachers (PAT) program is a great opportunity for parents with children from birth to 5 years old. Vicki Wright does a wonderful job with this program. Be sure to browse the PAT section of our web site. If you are pregnant or have a child not yet in school, we encourage you to give Vicki a call at 417.325.5171.
Diamond Elementary strives to bridge the gap often found between school and home. Parents, we welcome you to our school. You are a valued part of the educational team. You will notice the Wildcat Team approach instantly when entering our building. Our building administrative assistant, Mrs. Trisha Harrington, works hard to welcome each person entering our building.
